Bessie Battaglini, 93, of Grandview Avenue, Monongahela, died Tuesday, February 3, 1998, in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg. She was a former resident of Fallowfield Township and a member of Mary Mother of the Church in Charleroi. Surviving are two daughters, Gloria Venanzi of Monongahela and Marion Swiatek of South Plainfield, N.J.; two grandchildren, Mary Ann Robertson and Edward P. Swiatek; and a sister, Evelyn "Dolly" Kline of Austin, Texas. Deceased are her husband, Samuel Battaglini, who died in 1976; two sisters, Millie Galloni and Irene Pensis; and two brothers, Chris and Leo Biagini.
