John "Buck" McCoy, 65, of DiCio Street, Borland Manor, North Strabane, died Wednesday, February 4, 1998, in the emergency room of Allegheny University Hospitals, Canonsburg. On June 18, 1955, he married Rosalie DiMuzio McCoy in St. Patrick Church in Canonsburg with the Rev. Paul J. Simko, officiating. He was a member of St. Patrick Worship Site of St. Patrick Parish, Catholic Men's Club of the church, member of AGA, GBU, VFW 191, Italian American Association, Sons of Italy Lodge 758, the White Eagles Club, French Club and Elks Lodge 846, all of Canonsburg. Mr. McCoy was a 1951 graduate of Trinity High School and was formerly employed by J&L Steel Co. of Aliquippa for 35 years. More recently, he operated an income tax and accounting office known as Canon Associates. He was an avid sportsman. Following the Korean War, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, and was stationed in Kentucky. Surviving are his wife, Rosalie DiMuzio McCoy; two sons, John McCoy at home and Christopher McCoy, a member of the U.S. Coast Guard stationed in Philadelphia; a daughter, Maria Christine Yatsko of Canonsburg; four grandchildren, Miranda McCoy, Morgan Yatsko, Jesse and Shane McCoy; four brothers, Edward, Bob, and Bill McCoy all of Washington and Richard McCoy of Houston; two sisters, Marge Brodnick of Houston and Mary Grace Grimm of Avella; and several nieces and nephews.
