Bernard J. Grebb, 88, of 894 Wood Street, California, died 8:30 p.m. Friday, January 9, 1998, in Washington Hospital.
He was a retired wholesale salesman and restaurateur. He formerly was a community leader, having served on the school boards in East Pike Run Township and California for a combined 27 years. He also was a charter member of California Rotary Club, a member of Lions Club, chaired California Community Fourth of July Picnic and was a recipient of California Chamber of Commerce's Man of Year award.
He was married for 61 years to Irma Zandardelli Grebb, who died August 2, 1995.
Surviving are two sons, J. Budd Grebb and J. Regis Grebb both of California; a daughter, Bernadine Fabriziani of Belle Vernon; two grandchildren, Dr. Barry Fabriziani of Doylestown and Terry Danko of Belle Vernon; two great-granddaughters; and two twin great-grandsons.
Deceased are a brother, Staley Grebb; and a sister, Edna Grebb.
There will be no public viewing and interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the California Area Senior High School library or California Public Library.
