Hannah A. Pollana

Hickory woman had formerly lived in Florida

Hannah Antoinette Pollana, 86, of Hickory, died Sunday, January 11, 1998, in Washington Hospital.

She was born June 7, 1911, in Etna, a daughter of Anthony and Antoinette Alich Laurich.

Mrs. Pollana was a member of St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church in Cape Coral, Fla., where she lived for 24 years, and more recently was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Burgettstown.

Surviving are two sons, Louis I. Pollana of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and John R. Pollana of Hickory; three daughters, Rosemarie Taylor, Janet F. Bressanelli and Betty Jo Stoner, all of Hickory; a brother, August Laurich of Burgettstown; four sisters, Rose Bongiorni and Mildred Yamber, both of Hickory, and Evelyn Ostop and Mary Yamber, both of Burgettstown; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are her husband, John Louis Pollana, who died June 17, 1991; two grandsons, Donnie Taylor and Keith Pollana; and a brother, William Laurich.
