Helen B. Werton, 76, of Belle Vernon, died Friday, January 16, 1998. Mrs. Werton had lived in Belle Vernon since 1951. She was formerly of California, where she was a 1943 graduate of California State Teachers College. She retired in 1984 from Belle Vernon Area School District, where she taught for 22 years. She was married to John Werton, who died in 1975. Surviving are two daughters, Susan Baciak of Yukon and Jan Werton-Bruner of Charleroi; and four grandchildren, William and Jessica Baciak and Tyler and Andy Bruner. Born in Vestaburg, March 16, 1921, she was the daughter of August and Clara Gregg Bohn.
