Lucy M. Krist, 85, of Canonsburg, died Sunday, January 18, 1998, in Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh following lengthy illness. Mrs. Krist lived in Canonsburg her entire life where she was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic parish and had attended Canonsburg schools. She was a homemaker and a cook last employed at the Jefferson Room in Canonsburg. Surviving are a daughter, Georgia Popiolkowski of Canonsburg; a son Frank Krist of Munster, Ind.; fours sisters, Thelma Bruno and Viola Veres, both of Canonsburg, Helen Polochak of Highland, Ind., and Louise Tonti of Strabane; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two daughters, Helen Krist France and Ann J. Zemaitis; two sisters, Laura Venci and Sue Raneri; four brothers, Joseph, Amerigo "Jerry", John and Al Martino.
