Carmela Tigani Arceri, 93, of 540 Taylor Drive, Canonsburg, formerly of Elm Street, died at 12:10 a.m. Sunday, January 18, 1998. Mrs. Arceri had been a resident of the Canonsburg area since 1924, where she was a member of St. Patrick Parish and the Christian Mothers and Guild of the parish. Her husband, Joseph Arceri, died April 1, 1980. She was a homemaker. Surviving is a daughter, Rose Scalzo, with whom she made her home for the last six years. Also surviving are a sister, Rose Tigani of Italy; five grandchildren, Katherine Laputka, Patricia Luisi, Joseph Kubacki, Patricia Arceri and Janine Barnett; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
