Charles D. Hixenbaugh, 65, of Pflugerville, Texas, formerly of Canonsburg, died Saturday, January 17, 1998, in St. John's Hospital, Austin, Texas. Mr. Hixenbaugh served in the U.S. Marine Corps; was a member of the American Legion Post 902 of Houston; worked at Canonsburg Pottery; and was retired from Diversified Ceramics in Alvin, Texas, where he created molds. Surviving are five sons, Charles W. Hixenbaugh of Pflugerville, with whom he resided, Robert W. Hixenbaugh of Washington, Mark S. Hixenbaugh of Oakland and Roger A. Hixenbaugh and Eric D. Hixenbaugh, both of Alvin; a daughter, Donelle L. Smittle of Canonsburg; a sister, Linda Polewski of Sarasota, Fla.; and six grandchildren. Three brothers, Andrew Hixenbaugh, Robert F. Former Canonsburg resident dies in Texas
He was born September 21, 1932, in Canonsburg, a son of the late William Sr. and Edith Johnson Hixenbaugh.
