Worked as nurses' aide for many years
Ruth U. Caltumo, 69, of McDonald, died Monday, January 19, 1998.

She was born January 28, 1928, in Berlin, Germany, a daughter of Alfred and Frieda Artz Kluth.
Mrs. Caltumo worked as a nurses' aide for the Methodist Home on Bower Hill Road in Mt. Lebanon for 11 years and as a private duty nurses' aide for five years.
She was a member of Hickory Presbyterian Church.
On March 31, 1955, she married Alfred J. "Bear" Caltumo, who died March 17, 1989.
Surviving are a son, Alfred Ronald Caltumo of Hickory; a daughter, Janet Mary Wussick of McDonald; two brothers, Gunter and Wolfgang Kluth, both of Berlin, Germany; a sister, Loni Barthelemy of Stoughton, Mass.; and five grandchildren, Diane and Donald Wussick Jr., and Alfred R. Jr., Krystle and John C. Caltumo.
A son, Harry Caltumo, died in 1987.
