Flo Minton Jacobs, 90, of 154 West High Street, Waynesburg, died at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 1998, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg. Mrs. Jacobs attended elementary school in Graysville, was a 1926 graduate of Richhill Township High School and attended Waynesburg College, where she received a standard teaching certificate on June 20, 1935. She taught elementary school for 25 years, beginning in a one-room schoolhouse in Graysville and later teaching at different locations throughout Greene County. Mrs. Jacobs was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church, Waynesburg, and its Fidelis Sunday school class. She was a life member of Greene County Retired Teachers Association and the Pennsylvania and National Teachers' Associations. On June 11, 1927, she married John Harold Jacobs, who died March 13, 1981. Surviving are a grandson, Christopher Richard Jacobs of Brookline, Mass.; two sisters, Laura Williamson of Graysville and Dora Hamilton Jacobs of Thomaston, Maine; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, the Rev. J. Warren Jacobs; a granddaughter, Patricia Elizabeth Jacobs; a sister, Anna Jane Regalis; and a brother, George Minton.
