Alfred O. Mazzie Sr., 80, of Charleroi, died Monday, January 19, 1998, in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Mr. Mazzie was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, VFW Post 167, American Legion Post 22 and the Italia Unita Club, all of Charleroi. He served during World War II in the U. S. Army and was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel's Allenport plant. Surviving are his wife, Rose Rossano Mazzie; a daughter, Judy Beichner of Washington; a son, Alfred Mazzie Jr. of Monessen; two sisters, Elvera Bello of Brockton, Mass., and Florence Bartolozzi of Hobesound, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Mark and Danielle Beichner, Christopher Aiello and Lisa Cole.
