James F. Hopper, 48, of McMurray, died Wednesday, January 21, 1998, at West Penn Hospital. Mr. Hopper was the purchasing manager for I.C.F. Kaiser Engineers. He was also a member of the Purchasing Managers Association and a U.S. Naval veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving are his wife, Marcia J. Bierer Hopper; a son, David Hopper, and a daughter, Alyssa Hopper, both at home; four sisters, Sister Mary Jones of the Sisters of Charity, Anne Harkins of Plum Borough, Martha Brosky of Alexandria, Va., and Catherine Black of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and two brothers, Joseph Hopper of Dormont and John Hopper of Washington.
