Jean R. Rungo Castriota, 70, of York Township, York, formerly of Washington, died at 6:40 a.m. Monday, January 26, 1998, in York Hospital. Mrs. Castriota, a Washington High School graduate, worked as a clerk for 15 years at Raab Fruit Farms, York. She was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dallastown. Her husband, Joseph A. Castriota Sr., survives. They had been married for 49 years on July 24, 1997. Also surviving are two sons, Joseph A. Castriota Jr. and Louis J. Castriota Sr., both of Seven Valleys; two daughters, Teresa Mann and Constance J. Welsh, both of Dallastown; two brothers, Louis and James Rungo, both of Washington; three sisters, Angie DeFazio of Washington and Lena Rungo and Mary Curcio, both of Cape Coral, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was born December 26, 1927, in Washington, a daughter of Michael and Constance Ammendola Rungo.
