William Allen Lerch, 43, of Holbrook R.D.1, died at 5:45 p.m. Monday, January 26, 1998, in St. Clair Memorial Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a 10-year illness. Mr. Lerch was a 1972 graduate of West Greene High School and attended Suffolk University of Boston, Mass. He earned his bachelor of science degree from Waynesburg College in 1988 and had been a resident of Greene County since 1960. He was a former employee of Scott Paper Co. in Boston, Mass., and worked as an accountant with Fairfield & Ellis Insurance Co., also of Boston. Mr. Lerch was employed at Gerrity Lumber Co. in Dedam, Mass., and was last employed as an accountant with the Suffolk Bank in Boston. Mr. Lerch was Catholic. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two brothers, Lawrence J. Lerch of Mansfield, Mass., and Walter E. Lerch of Holbrook R.D.1; a sister, Marjorie Lowe Gillen of Gaithersburg, Md.; two nieces and a nephew. Services for Mr. Lerch will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
