Emile J. Hospodar

Army veteran retired from Pipeline Service Co.
Emile J. Hospodar, 79, of McDonald, died Friday, January 30, 1998, in Washington County Health Center.

Born April 12, 1918, in Noblestown, he was a son of Michael and Victoria A. Leytrick Hospodar.
Mr. Hospodar was a 1936 graduate of McDonald High School; served in the Army Air Force in North Africa during World War II; worked wrapping pipe for the Pipeline Service Co. in Glenwillard for 24 years; and worked as a Robinson Township supervisor for 23 years, retiring in 1983.
Prior to World War II Mr. Hospodar worked as a coal miner for the Pittsburgh Coal Co.
Mr. Hospodar was a member of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church in McDonald; was a life member of the McDonald VFW, where he was former commander; and the Washington County Township Supervisors Association.
On May 13, 1942, he married Stella A. Pivovar, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Victoria A. Valentine of Bridgeville and Anita L. Faurot of Manassas, Va.; a brother, Edward J. Hospodar of McDonald; two sisters, Alice DelGandio of Laurence Harbor, N.J., and Ann Carol Smith of Bethel Park; four grandchildren, Amanda and Ian Valentine and Cristalle and Danielle Faurot; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Mary Ellen Hospodar, is deceased.
