Emma Padfield Ward, 96, of Washington, died Thursday, January 29, 1998, in Washington. Mrs. Ward was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Washington, where she was the oldest member. She was a graduate of Verona High School and Iron City College of Pittsburgh, now Duff's Business School. Mrs. Ward was a homemaker and was formerly a secretary with the Republic Flow Meter Co. Mrs. Ward was a member of the Lincoln Chapter 112, Order of Eastern Star; the Washington Hospital Auxiliary; and the Duncan Glass Society. On June 19, 1928, in Washington, she married Donald T. Ward. Mr. Ward died February 4, 1985. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a sister, Alice Schacht; and two brothers, William and Archie Padfield.
