Caroline V. Lillard

Resident of Francis Mine

Caroline Virginia Lillard, 69, of Francis Mine, Burgettstown, died Wednesday, January 7, 1998, in Washington Hospital following a lengthy illness.

She was born April 14, 1928, in Bertha Mine, a daughter of Alfred and Josephine Nebster Brown.

Surviving is her husband of 54 years, Frank Lillard Sr., who she married in Toledo, Ohio, September 7, 1943.

Also surviving are two sons, Frank Lillard Jr. and Robert Lillard Sr., both of Francis Mine; three daughters, Gloria Whiting and Patricia Timblin of Francis Mine and Lorraine Howard of Burgettstown; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Deceased are six sisters, Beulah Paris, Viola Witcher, Elizabeth, Louise, Margaret and Betty Brown; and four brothers, James, Alfred, Robert and Wilbur Brown.
