Thomas J. Nye, 86, of Union Township, died Monday, June 29, 1998, in his home. Mr. Nye was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired riverman, working for U.S. Steel's Clairton Works. He attended Mingo Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two sisters, Elizabeth Bianchi of New Eagle and Mary McDowell of Peoria, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
