Rene F. Gouirand, 93, formerly of 211 North Haft Street, Houston, died Thursday, July 9, 1998, at Country Meadows, Bridgeville, where he resided. Mr. Gouirand was a retired truck driver for the former Chartiers Cinder Block Co. On October 30, 1929, he married Leona J. Michaux, who died April 15, 1979. Surviving are one son, Robert Gouirand of Washington; one daughter, Dolores Fee of Windham, Ohio; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son, George F. Gouirand; five brothers, George, Roger, Emil, Edmund and Clarence Gouirand; and two sisters, Elsie Gevaudan and Jane Stanka.
