Sam John Kazarick, 78, of McAdam Avenue, Washington, died at 1:25 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 1998, in Aspinwall Veterans Hospital. He had been ill since January. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a foreman at Taggart Valley Glass and later at Brockway Glass, Washington. Mr. Kazarick was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, Washington. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army in the European Theater in the 45th Division. He was wounded in action and received a Purple Heart. He was a member of Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion and the Pulaski Club. On October 27, 1945, he married Ann Mary Machacek, who died September 8, 1992. Surviving are three sons, John Rudolph Kazarick of Uniontown, Joseph Martin Kazarick of Ingomar and Edward Stanley Kazarick of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Stanley and Walter Kazarick, both of Washington; two sisters, Katherine Shook and Helen Bick, both of Washington; and four grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Maria and Jessica.
