Word has been received of the death of Ester Hastings Roberts, 95, of Tallmadge, Ohio, who died July 3, 1998. Originally from Washington, she had lead an active life in Akron for 51 years. She was active in local womens' organizations. She was married to William Roberts, who is deceased. Surviving are two sons, Lewis Hastings of Eighty Four and Frank Hastings of Akron; one daughter, Hazle Hastings Popper of San Jose, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Ackerman of Canonsburg.
