Dana E. Filer, 64, of 44 Rohanna Court, Waynesburg, died at 8:10 p.m. Monday, July 13, 1998, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. Mr. Filer was manager of the Waynesburg office of the Pennsylvania Job Service, retiring in 1988. He was previously employed as a teacher and junior high football coach in Bethlehem-Center School District. He was a member of Mather Christian Church, Filer-Sadlek American Legion Post 954 and a life member of Greene County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491 in Carmichaels. Mr. Filer served in the U.S. Air Force as a staff sergeant and was a graduate of Waynesburg College. He enjoyed playing sandlot baseball and golf, and had coached Little League baseball. On October 15, 1957, he married Mary Ann Mooney Filer, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Tammy Bryan and Tonya Patton, both of Waynesburg; a son, Dana Nolan Lynch of Fullerton, Calif.; four grandchildren, Frankie and Lee Bryan, and Cody and Randi Lee Patton; and a sister, Verna Wright of Levittown.
