William R. McGary, 82, formerly of Filbert Avenue, Moundsville, W.Va., died Tuesday, June 30, 1998, at Manner Care Nursing Home, Houston, Texas. He was a member of Mt. Hope Methodist Church on Dry Ridge, Marshall County, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was retired from Valley Welding Supply Company, Wheeling, W.Va. Surviving are his wife, Juanita Ingersoll McGary; two daughters, Connie Gengelbach and Bonnie Williams, both of Houston, Texas; one sister, Helen Gilmore of Salt Lake City, Utah; two grandchildren, John and Madalyn Gengelbach; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are four sisters, Gail Smart, Mima McGary, Lole Richmond and Thelma Cutshaw; and one brother, Arch McGary. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 3, in Mt. Hope Methodist Church Cemetery.
