Edith K. Courtwright, 86, of Franklin Care Center, Waynesburg, formerly of Aleppo Township, died at 11:50 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 1998, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg.

She was born February 18, 1912, in Wetzel County, W.Va., a daughter of Joseph Harvey and Lucy Bell Hunter Glover.
Prior to moving to Graysville in 1979, Mrs. Courtwright had resided in Aleppo Township most of her life. She had been a resident of Franklin Care Center since 1993.
She was baptized and married in the former Sugar Grove Baptist Church and had attended Aleppo Brethren Church.
She was last employed by the former Cameron Pottery Factory in Cameron, W.Va.
On March 2, 1932, she married Robert Linley Courtwright Sr., who died November 15, 1974.
Surviving are three daughters, Ruth Whipkey of Holbrook R.D.1, Peggy Galentine of Moundsville, W.Va., and Karen Henry of Rogersville; two sons, Gene Courtwright of Waynesburg and Roger L. Courtwright of Graysville; three brothers, Harley Glover of Olean, N.Y., Clair Glover of Derry and Clovis Glover of Cameron; three sisters, Virgie Dye of New Freeport, Merle McDonald of Brilliant, Ohio, and Era Gorby of Cambridge, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Deceased, in addition to her husband, are three sons, Robert L. Courtwright Jr., William J. and Harry D. Courtwright; four brothers, Dalley, Joseph Lee, Floyd and Encel Woodrow Glover; and four sisters, Ethel Courtwright, Edna Tasker, Audrey Gray and Beulah Morris.
