Dorothy Horne Merritt, 76, of Donnan Avenue, Washington, died Saturday, July 18, 1998, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center, Washington. She had been in failing health since February. Prior to her retirement in 1974, she was employed as an operator with Bell Telephone for 34 years. She was a member of Bell Telephone Pioneers. Mrs. Merritt was a member of Christian Church of North America and was a 1940 graduate of Trinity High School. On January 3, 1964, she married Oral Ralph Merritt, who died November 25, 1992.
