Michael "Butch" Klimenko, 79, of Langeloth, died Sunday, July 26, 1998, in his home. Mr. Klimenko was a 1937 graduate of Union High School, Burgettstown, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for American Zinc Co., Pennsylvania Railroad and retired from Atlantic Richfield Co. (ARCO) as a foreman at its Kobuta plant. Mr. Klimenko was an honorary member of Slovan Veterans of Foreign Wars, ARCO Foreman's Club and Burgettstown Senior Citizens. He enjoyed golf, bowling and watching professional sports. In April 21, 1941, he married Margaret Prado, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Michele Krupey of Greensburg and Dorothy Green of State College; three grandchildren, Alexander and Jillian Krupey and Kylie Green; and four sisters, Elizabeth Klimenko Shockey of Waynesboro, Sonia Trosky Testa of Burgettstown, Martha Trosky Kirschner of Avella and Elsie Trosky Downer of Columbia, Md. Deceased are an infant daughter, Beverly Klimenko; a brother, Nicholas Klimenko; and two sisters, Dorothy Klimenko Swanik and Mary Trosky.
