Longtime member of Dallas Methodist Church
Sara Elizabeth Bruner McCulley, 84, of West Alexander (West Finley Township), died Tuesday, July 28, 1998, in Presbyterian Medical Center, Washington, following a lengthy illness.

She was born August 25, 1913, in Ohio County, W.Va., a daughter of Wilbur and Nettie Grimes Bruner.
Mrs. McCulley was a longtime member of Dallas Methodist Church, Dallas, W.Va.
She attended Center Grade School and West Liberty High School, both in West Virginia.
Mrs. McCulley was a homemaker and, along with her husband, operated the family farm for many years.
She enjoyed sewing and cooking.
On January 16, 1937, in Wheeling, W.Va., she married Albert Nelson McCulley, who died January 11, 1991.
Surviving are two sons, Bernard McCulley of West Finley and Harold Lee McCulley of West Alexander; two daughters, Betty Ann Kelso of Melbourne, Fla., and Doris Errett of Hickory; two sisters, Helen Childers of Elm Grove, W.Va., and Ruth Jones of Bethany, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her husband, is a brother, Carl Bruner.
