Rudolph Albert "Rudy" Lazek, 71, of Greene Street, Houston, died at 11:55 p.m. Monday, July 27, 1998, in his home. He had been ill since December 1996. Mr. Lazek was a member of Holy Trinity National Catholic Church. He had been employed as a coil stacker at Cooper Industries, retiring after 37 years of service. Mr. Lazek played minor league baseball with the Union City baseball team and was a member of the Old Timers Baseball organization. He enjoyed bowling. Mr. Lazek served in the U.S. Navy and was a graduate of Trinity High School. On August 2, 1965, he married Frances Agnes Kovacic, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Janice Lynn Krewson of Washington; a brother, John Lazek of Washington; a sister, Margaret Guidas of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
