Jose Falcion (Joseph Frank Falcioni), 70, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., originally of Canonsburg, a former dancer on Broadway and television, died July 18, 1998, of a heart attack.

He was born June 20, 1928, in Canonsburg, a son of Frank and Elizabeth Falcioni.
Mr. Falcion was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Army.
He had an extensive career in entertainment as a dancer. He was with the Pittsburgh Civic Ligh Opera for five years and was in 39 shows on Broadway in New York. He was on television for 22 years with the "Hit Parade," "Ed Sullivan," "Perry Como," "Sid Caesar," "Kraft Mystery Theater" and "Jackie Gleason."
Mr. Falcion danced with the Jack Cole Dance Company, the Beatrice Kraft Dancers, the Tally Beatty Dance Company and the June Taylor Dancers. He was director/choreographer for the Deauville Hotel in Miami Beach for nine years, choreographed "The King and I" ballet at the Eden Roc Hotel and choreographed the King Orange Bowl Parade in Miami for 11 years. Mr. Falcion also appeared on the "Donald O'Connor" and "Tony Martin" shows in Las Vegas, Nev.
He retired after managing two dance studios in the Miami area.
Surviving are two brothers, James of Pittsburgh and Paul of Canonsburg; and four nephews and a niece. Living in the area is one of the nephews, Paul Falcioni Jr. of Houston, and a niece, Kristine Falcioni Rosenwald of Canonsburg.
