Frank Domenick Pianetti, 85, of Upper St. Clair, formerly of Monongahela, died Sunday, July 5, 1998, at Friendship Village Health Center of South Hills. Mr. Pianetti spent most of his life on Third Avenue in Monongahela. He was a former co-owner of the City Taxi in Monongahela. He retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Washington County, as assistant superintendent of highways, and was the former city chairman of the Democratic party. In the 1930s, he played semi-pro football with the Monongahela Mohawks and also served with Company A from Monongahela, during World War II. Mr. Pianetti was a member of St. Anthony Church in Monongahela. Surviving are his daughter, Geraldine Williams of Upper St. Clair; two grandchildren, Paul S. Williams and Nancy M. O'Brokta; and three great-grandchildren. Deceased are his wife, Marie Francesca Dusi Pianetti, who died April 3, 1997; and a grandson, John C.
