Dean Lee Wahl, 55, of National Pike, Daisytown, died at 7:45 a.m. Friday, July 3, 1998, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Mr. Wahl was an associate professor at California University, where he taught reading and study skills and managed the tutorial program. He was a graduate of Evans City High School, received a bachelor of science degree from Edinboro University, earned his master's degree from Slippery Rock University and did graduate work at Indiana University. Mr. Wahl was a member of Nemacolin Country Club, Cedarbrook Golf League, Ellsworth Gun Club, Elks Lodge 776 of Washington, A.P.S.C.U.F. and Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity, for which he served as an adviser. He enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting and playing cards. On November 27, 1974, he married Lynda Brooks, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Todd Lee Wahl of Tampa, Fla., and Justin Lee Wahl at home; three sisters, Olive Sosnoski of Springdale, Fla., Donetta Landis of Sewickley and his twin sister, Deana Morgan of North Hills, Pittsburgh; two brothers, Purney Wahl of Evans City and Dale Wahl of Ligonier; and several nieces and nephews.
