Robert P. Whitlatch, 49, of West Finley R.D. 2, died at 11:55 a.m. Sunday, July 5, 1998, at Washington Hospital. Mr. Whitlatch resided in West Finley all his life and attended the Nebo Methodist Church. He was formerly a self-employed painter, last employed by the Washington Hospital for 14 years in the maintenance department, retiring in December 1997, because of ill health. Mr. Whitlatch was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam era. On September 2, 1971, he married Debra A. Chambers who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are two sons, Daniel J. and Joshua "Chris" Whitlatch, both at home; two daughters, Michele D. Weight of Wind Ridge, and Teresa K. Whitlatch of Graysville; two grandchildren, Airin Robert and Levi Thomas Weight; three brothers, Charles E. Whitlatch of West Finley R.D. 2, Donald R. Whitlatch of Wind Ridge R.D. 1, and William H. Whitlatch of Sycamore R.D. 1; and a sister, Judith Higginbotham of Waynesburg R.D. 1. Deceased are a brother, Thomas H.
