Harry L. Crable, 96, of Bialko's Rest Home, Waynesburg, formerly of Mather, died Wednesday, July 8, 1998, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg. He was a longtime member, elder and former chairman of the church board at Mather Christian Church. A retired coal miner, he was a foreman at Mather Colleries. He was a member and secretary of United Mine Workers of America Local 6151. He had served as a member of Morgan Township School Board and Jefferson-Morgan School Board. Surviving are a son, William H. Crable of Mather; four grandchildren, Cathie Wilson of Vienna, Va., Beth Ann Jenner of Arlington, Va., and Scott and Thomas Crable, both of Columbus, Ohio; and several great-grandchildren. Deceased are two sons, Thomas Crable, who died in infancy, and Harry L. Crable Jr.; and several brothers and sisters. Services and interment will be private.
