Nellie Mae Mack, 92, formerly of 850 Beech Street, Washington, died Tuesday, July 7, 1998, in Presbyterian Medical Center, Washington, after a brief illness. Mrs. Mack was a homemaker and was a member of the Negro Women's Federation, the Rosebud Art and Literary Club and Eva Brooks Missionary Society. She was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church, where she was a member of the stewardess board and the gospel choir and a former Sunday school teacher. On October 31, 1923, she married Robert Mack, who died March 18, 1973. Surviving are a son, Leonard G. Mack of Washington; three brothers, Archie and Warren Thomas, both of Washington, and Sell Thomas of Waldorf, Md.; a sister, Alleen Ferrell of Washington; five grandchildren, Stacy Vactor, Robert G. and Lenane Mack, Sonja Wilson and Cynthia R. Taylor; eight great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, Robert J. Mack Jr.; two brothers, John and Richard Thomas; and three sisters, Celestine Johnson, Dorothe Wilson and Alice Campbell.
