Joseph A. Gogol, 70, of Follansbee, W.Va., died Tuesday, June 9, 1998, at St. Francis Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War II and a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church, Folansbee, W.Va. He retired from the Weirton Steel Corp., was a former owner of the Arthur Murray Dance Studio, Steubenville, an associate of Gogol Draperies, vice president of the Big Band 200 Dance Club, Wheeling W.Va., a committee member of Formals at Oglebay Park and the Wheeling Elks Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Eileen McAninch Gogol, at home; one son Jerry Gogol of Folansbee; one brother, Martin Gogol of Greensburg; one sister, Mrs. Elwood Laverne Amberik of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two granddaughters, Dr. Lynette Gogol and Lisa Donich of Cleveland.
