Mero Joseph Capo Jr., 54, of Shirls Avenue, Washington, died at 4:30 a.m. Monday, June 15, 1998, in Washington Hospital after a three-year illness. Mr. Capo was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. He was a 1962 graduate of Washington High School and was self-employed as a beautician and owner of Mero Capo Jr. Coiffures. He was a member of the Independent Club, Archaeological Society and Washington County Chamber of Commerce. On May 11, 1985, he married Theresa A. Slapikas, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Mero J. Capo III of Economy Borough; a daughter, Jeannine Marie Romano of Washington; a brother, Denis A.
