Douglas James Stoneking, 66, of Burton, died Tuesday, June 16, 1998, at West Virginia University Hospital. He was Protestant, and was a self-employed trucker and owner of Stoneking Pipe and Steel. Surviving are his wife, Minnie Ross Stoneking of Nettle Hill; two sons, Charles (Chuck) Stoneking of Holbrook and William (Bill) Stoneking of New Freeport; one sister, Florence Byard Toothman of Farmington; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Patricia Stoneking was his companion for 20 years. Deceased are two brothers, George Jones and Everett Stoneking; and two sisters, Laura Moore and Pauline Morgan.
