Robert J. Smith, 66, of Jefferson Borough, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998. Mr. Smith retired after 40 years of service as chief master sergeant with the U.S. Air Force. He was the commissioner of the Route 51 slow pitch softball league. He had retired from J.B. Roerig Pfizer as a pharmaceutical sales representative after 30 years. He was inducted into the Roerig Pharmaceutical Hall of Fame in 1992 in New York City. Mr. Smith was a member of GBU and a Jefferson Hospital Volunteer. Surviving are his wife, Felicia Zgorliski Smith; three daughters, Cynthia Coughenour, Kristin Kempa and Lori Folino; a sister, Irene Manduzio; and two grandchildren, Alexa Coughenour and Nicole Folino.
