Renzo Venturo, 48, of Irvine, Calif., formerly of Canonsburg, died Saturday, June 6, 1998, at Three Rivers, Calif., of a heart attack while camping. Mr. Venturo was a 1967 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and received his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Institute of Technology and a master of science in air resources and industrial hygiene from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health. He was also a graduate of U.C.L.A. Anderson School of Management. He was a corporate director of safety, health and environmental affairs with Hughes Electronics Corp. in Los Angeles, Calif., for 22 years. Prior to this he was a corporate industrial hygienist at Eastman Kodak in Rochester, N.Y., and at Kodak Canada Limited in Toronto, Ontario for four years. Surviving are his wife, Carmen Venturo; a son, Mathew Venturo of Irvine, Calif.; a daughter, Lea Venturo of Irvine; a sister, Piera Simms of Washington; and a niece and nephew. Deceased is a sister, Roberta Venturo, who died in 1984. A Funeral Mass was held Friday, June 12, at St. Norbert's Church. Interment was in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Orange, Calif. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 11, in St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. He was born September 2, 1949, in Rosello, (Chieti) Italy, a son of Antonietta Cimino Venturo of Canonsburg, and the late Galileo Venturo.
