Charles Keith Byard, 76, of Upper St. Clair, died Thursday, June 18, 1998, at his home. Mr. Byard was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of Masonic Lodge Hermon 6 of Clarksburg, W.Va.; Scottish Rite; and American Legion Post 945, Waynesburg. He was employed by Consolidated Natural Gas Co., retiring after 37 years as vice president of operations. Surviving are his wife, Susanna Rose Byard; four children, Karen Byard Horton, Charles Keith Byard II, David Jeffrey Byard and Sara Byard Lois; three grandchildren, Amy Byard Mehr, Carl Adam Laughlin III and Brian Travis Laughlin; a brother, the Rev. John D. Byard; a sister, Loretta Byard King; and several nieces and nephews. A son, John Randall Byard, is deceased.
