Carl N. Caltuna, 72, of Amity, died Friday, June 19, 1998, in Washington Hospital. Mr. Caltuna attended West Bethlehem Township schools and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Marines Corps. He was employed as a superintendent at Findlay Refractories, Washington, for over 21 years before retiring in 1985. Mr. Caltuna was Catholic. On August 10, 1948, he married June R. Doolin, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Michael Caltuna of Lone Pine and Richard Caltuna of Denbo; three daughters, Linda Waycaster of Morgantown, W.Va., Carla Zec and Lisa Caltuna, both of Jefferson; a sister, Dolores Mason of Mather; and eight grandchildren, Sean and Kendra Bowsher, Christopher, Nicholas, Carl, Garrett and Alyssa Caltuna and Amber Zec. Deceased is a son, Carl Caltuna. Private funeral services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
