Nellie G. Phillips, 80, of Rohannas Court, Waynesburg (Franklin Township), died at 11:36 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 1998, in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va., following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Phillips lived her entire life in Greene County, where she was a homemaker and a member of Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church. On March 25, 1937, she married John W. Phillips, who survives. Also surviving are six daughters, Nancy L. Tankersley of Sequim, Wash., Norma Jean Luketic of Republic, Ethel Marie Bennett and Edna L. Howard, both of Waynesburg, Ruth I. Reed of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Rosemary Loring of Dilliner; a son, Leslie O. "Buddy" Phillips of Uniontown; 32 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Thelma Allman of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and two brothers, Fred Fox of Mt. Morris and George B. Fox of Waynesburg. Deceased are a daughter, Thelma Phillips; two grandsons, David Phillips and Keith Lantz; and four brothers, Roy, Bert, Furman and Tom Fox.
