Edward "Butch" Czernecki, 81, of Houston, died Saturday, June 20, 1998, in his home. Mr. Czernecki was a retired truck driver who worked for Suwack Trucking in Washington. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Houston and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. On July 3, 1948, he married Ethel Holt, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Edward J. Czernecki of Jones Hills; two daughters, Sandra Invernizzi of Washington and Joanne Harvey of Black Forest, Colo.; a granddaughter, Lauren Renae Czernecki; and a sister, Josephine Scott of Red Lion. Deceased are a brother, Alex Czernecki; and two sisters, Stella Danz and Helen Czernecki. Graveside services will be private. The family suggests memorial contributions to Washington Hospital Hospice Care, 351 West Beau Street, Washington, PA 15301.
