Fred W. Kowalo, 48, of Cecil Township, died Tuesday, June 23, 1998, in St. Clair Memorial Hospital. Mr. Kowalo was a lifelong resident of Cecil Township and was employed as a cement finisher. He was an avid fisherman. On March 20, 1969, he married Athea Hans, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Deana Y. Safko of South Fayette Township; one son, Frederick E. Kowalo of Cecil Township; one sister, Delores Kowalo of Cecil Township; three brothers, John Kowalo of Scott Township, Nick Kowalo of Bulger and Dan Kowalo of Cecil Township; and two grandchildren, Alexxa Nicole Safko and Jenna Star Kowalo.
