Helen Rae Keffer, 85, of Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Pitt-Gas and Connellsville, died Wednesday, June 24, 1998, in Charlotte. Mrs. Keffer lived her early years in Pitt-Gas and was a resident of Charlotte for the last 12 years, where she was a member of Newell Baptist Church. Prior to moving to Charlotte, she was a member of Albright United Methodist Church in South Connellsville. Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Lee Skilone of Charlotte and Patricia Ann Aguglia of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren, Michael, Joey and Christian; and a great-grandson, six nieces and three nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. Deceased are her husband, John W. "Bill" Keffer, who died April 5, 1968; two brothers, Harry W. Hank and Ben Hawk; and two sisters, Christine and Catherine Jean Hawk.
