William Liptak Sr., 82, of Van Voorhis, died Saturday, June 27, 1998, in Monongahela Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Mr. Liptak was retired after 38 years of service from Bethlehem Steel Corp., Cokeburg Mine. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Monongahela and a former member of the Otters Club in Van Voorhis. Surviving are a son, William E. Liptak of Pasadena, Md.; a granddaughter, Michele Cassell; and a sister, Anne Benson of Wilkinsburg. Deceased are his wife, Josephine A. Leon Liptak, who died September 16, 1991; three brothers, Frank, Samuel and David Liptak; and a sister, Margaret Fisher.
