James S. "Red" Robson Sr., 86, of McDonald, died Monday, June 29, 1998, in his home. Mr. Robson served in the U.S. Army during World War II. For 30 years, he was a miner with Oakdale and McDonald Coal companies and later worked in construction for A.J. Cindrich of McKees Rocks, retiring in 1970. He was a life member of McDonald Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 567 and McDonald Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of UMWA and Local 1058 Laborers Union, Pittsburgh. He enjoyed fishing. In April 1988, he married Martha Roscart Wussick Robson, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Alice Ingram of Crispin, Ill., Sally Robson of the state of Indiana, Verna Langley of Oxnard, Calif., and Kathy Buttons of Rochester, N.Y.; a stepdaughter, Betty Legg of Carnegie; four stepsons, Nick Charles, Donald and David Wussick, all of Southview, and Steven Wussick of Waynesburg; a brother, Lawrence Robson of McDonald; nine grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
