Matthew DeWitt Winston, 55, of North College Street, Washington, died unexpectedly at 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 1, 1998, in Washington Hospital. Mr. Winston was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Washington, attended Trinity High School and enjoyed painting, creative writing, sewing and cooking. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are three brothers, McCoy Winston of Chesapeake, Va., Arnold Winston of San Diego, Calif., and Robin Winston of Indianapolis, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews. At the request of the family, there will be no public visitation. Burial will be private. Funeral arrangements handled by Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Washington.
