Leroy T. "Woody" Woodburn, 82, of Apple Valley, Calif., formerly of Houston, died Wednesday, June 3, 1998, at home.

He was born July 20, 1915, in Buffalo, a son of John and Irene Lyle Woodburn.
Mr. Woodburn retired in 1979 from American Cyanamide. He was a member of the Houston American Legion Post 902 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191, Canonsburg.
On May 1, 1937, he married Gen Lewis Woodburn, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Leroy "Peanuts" Woodburn and William "Woody" Woodburn, both of Apple Valley; two grandsons, Troy and Jason Woodburn; a great-granddaughter; two brothers, Sam Woodburn of Washington and Cecil Woodburn of Cleveland, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Ray and John Woodburn; and two sisters, Sarah and Evelyn.
Services were private.
