WWII veteran, retired from Drakenfeld in 1984
Paul R. Ealy, 76, of Washington, formerly of Lone Pine, died Saturday, June 6, 1998, in Washington County Health Center.

He was born October 3, 1921, in East Finley, a son of Thomas F. and Bessie Huffman Ealy.
He was a 1941 graduate of Nineveh High School.
For more than 37 years, he was employed at the Drakenfeld Division of Ciba-Geigy in Washington, before his retirement in 1984.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Ealy was a member of North Ten Mile Baptist Church and American Legion Post No. 175, Washington.
He formerly served as fire policeman at the Lone Pine Volunteer Fire Co.
Mr. Ealy also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On March 20, 1943, he married Edith (Edie) Yocum, who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Barry P. Ealy and Bruce C. Ealy, both of Lone Pine, and Brian R. Ealy and Gary L. Ealy, both of Washington; a daughter, Diane M. Williams of Tucson, Ariz.; five sisters, Gladys Mankey of Oak Forest, Margaret Clutter of Ninevah and Ruth Wasselloff, Doris Pettit and Lillian Moyar, all of Northport, Fla.; five grandchildren, Marla Strike, Chad Williams, Aaron Williams, Donovan Ealy and Bill Hartzell; a step-grandson, Dennis Mead; a great-grandson; two stepgreat-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three brothers, Bryon, Stewart and Thomas Ealy; and two sisters, Gertrude Danley and Annabelle Hull.
